A search is underway for an experienced Controller to lead the accounting and financial operations of a growing, multi-entity organization. Reporting directly to executive leadership, this role will oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, cost accounting, internal controls, ERP optimization, and strategic financial planning. The successful candidate will serve as a key business partner, providing financial insight that supports operational performance, profitability, and long-term growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all accounting operations, including consolidated financial reporting, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
- Drive financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting initiatives to improve profitability and operational performance.
- Strengthen internal controls, accounting processes, and financial reporting while leading ERP optimization and process improvement efforts.
- Partner with operational leaders to deliver meaningful financial analysis, business unit performance reporting, and job-level profitability insights.
- Oversee treasury, cash management, intercompany accounting, external audit coordination, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and mentor the accounting team while fostering a disciplined, high-performing finance function.
- Support executive leadership with capital planning, strategic growth initiatives, and financial decision-making.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- CPA (or equivalent professional accounting designation) with a background in public accounting.
- Proven experience leading the accounting function within a multi-entity organization in logistics, transportation, manufacturing, construction materials, or a similarly complex operating environment.
- Strong expertise in financial reporting, cost accounting, ERP implementation or optimization, budgeting, and internal controls.
- Demonstrated success building scalable finance processes and partnering with operations to improve business performance.
- Executive presence with the ability to communicate financial strategy and influence cross-functional leadership.
